The G-47 is essentially a western version of the Yanagi Sashimi Slicer and functions in the same way. The G-47 knife has the typical 15 degree bevel on each side of the blade, like the standard G series. It can be used for various tasks in the kitchen. It is an excellent carving knife and is perfect for slicing large pieces of your favourite cut of meat. It is also a good knife for filleting fish or preparing sashimi.
