Cooking
Always protect yourself by using pot holders when handling hot utensils.
We recommend using Le Creuset silicone utensils or those made of wood or heat-resistant plastic. Use metal utensils carefully, taking care to be gentle and not to scrape the cooking surface as this may cause damage.
Use the product on the hob ring of the most appropriate size: it will make cooking food more even and reduce the risk of damage to handles and edges. This is especially important for induction hobs: if the wrong size ring is used, there is a risk that the hob will not ‘recognise’ the product.
Cooking over medium or low heat produces the best results. Heat the product gradually to achieve extraordinary flavours and even cooking. If it is necessary to use a higher heat, lower the intensity once the desired heat level has been reached.
Do not slide and/or drag the product across a glass hob as this may cause damage to the base of the product and the glass. Always lift the product when placing, moving or removing it from the surface.
Clean
Wait for the product to cool completely before you start cleaning it.
Remove any food residue from the base and edges of the product. For stubborn food residue, fill the product with warm soapy water and let it soak for 15-20 minutes before washing it as usual.
Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal, abrasive sponges or very hard, stiff brushes to clean any of the surfaces.
After washing, dry the product thoroughly and store it in a dry place.
