Tajine means encounters and generosity. Varied contrasts, of shared desires and memories. It is also one of the only recipes that designates both a dish… and the dish in which it is cooked. Proof, if any were needed, of the importance, when preparing, of being well surrounded.
Our “tajine” was designed to sublimate this itinerant dish, with its warmth, its roundness and its flavor. Because the best tagine is not the most complicated! It is the one you imagine, choosing the ingredients that inspire you and evoke rediscovered emotions: lemons from the garden, fresh and melting dates, juicy citrus fruits… all deliciously wrapped in fragrant spices.
Then simply let it cook, candy, simmer without worrying: our Flame® ceramic diffuses a delicate and homogeneous heat that adapts perfectly.
Thanks to the conical and closed lid, the steam circulates, the aromas develop and the flavors are released throughout the cooking process. Finally, its size allows it to remain faithful to the spirit of this generous dish, serving 8 to 10 guests. And don’t forget: it’s so beautiful that it is highly recommended to serve it at the table!
A few tips for using your Emile Henry tagine:
Always start on low heat for the first 5 minutes to gradually increase the temperature. Do not heat the base of your empty tagine: always add a little water or oil. Make sure there is always juice in your tagine while cooking. If necessary, you can add a small glass of water. Keep the tagine closed during cooking, you can of course open it quickly to add other ingredients and spices.
