The Opalino vase was born in 1932 from the mind of Paolo Venini, as graceful in tone as in form.
A journey through time links the 15th century to the neoclassicism of the 20th century movement, leading to the creation of the Opalino vase.
It is the discovery of a new order with essential and refined lines. It is presented in refined colours, made unique by the ancient and complex working of Lattimo glass, born in the 15th century to imitate porcelain and taken up again by the experiments of the Furnace.
BLOWN OPALINE
Opalino glass is blown and worked by hand and is obtained by superimposing Lattimo with other glass. The technique is so defined because the craftsmen expand and shape the glass by blowing air into a long metal rod connected to it, in accordance with the thousand-year-old tradition of glassmaking. This ancient action, combined with the experience and skill of master glassmakers, transforms simple glass into true artistic masterpieces, one of a kind.
