Milanese artist Roberto Bruno explores virtual aesthetics, transforming the frame of this Mirror into a digital image. The numerous squares juxtaposed at different heights create an original, unstructured shape.
Roberto Bruno began his research career in the visual arts fascinated by digital aesthetics, creating a surrealist language with existential implications. He has created extravagant and ultra-innovative web applications for major brands such as Nike, Prada, miu miu and Toiletpaper.
Mirror, mirror, who is the fairest of them all? For Roberto Bruno, the Mirror is a manifesto of the hedonistic and solipsistic age in which we live. The Pixel Mirror creates a surreal world that is completely at odds with our contemporary image society. The Pixel Mirror becomes a witness to a magical world in which every illusion is possible.
The Pixel Mirror illustrates the constant dialogue between author and viewer that is an integral part of Roberto Bruno’s artistic work. Everything changes, nothing stays the same, like this constantly changing pixel frame that transforms itself depending on the angle from which it is observed. The viewer sees different pixels depending on his position. The image of the frame reconstitutes itself as one moves away, giving the Mirror an impression of relief and thus of spatial reality.
