Philipp Rosenthal was seventeen years old when he left for America to sell porcelain. Full of dynamism, he returned to Germany in 1879 and founded his own porcelain painting company.
After early business successes, Rosenthal decided to produce porcelain himself in 1891. The new porcelain manufactory draws attention to technical developments and design in step with the times: the founder of the company open to the world is in fact constantly looking for new ideas.
