ROXANNA GIRAFFE DELUXE<\/strong>
\nGiraffes are the land animals with the largest hearts in relation to their body weight. The Roxanna DELUXE Giraffe is one of Tom’s Drag’s classics. At 150 cm tall, she meets everyone at eye level and you can’t help but like this quirky and cute giraffe lady with “flower” jewelry on her long neck and glamorous cigarette (easily removable).<\/p>\n

This item is made and painted by hand<\/strong> so variations in color, pattern, tone, small imperfections in glue or color and irregularities are a specific feature of the product and evidence of its craftsmanship.<\/p>\n

All Drag animals are decorated with imaginative costumes and exotic ornaments as if they were at a Carnival parade. All are in the colors of the rainbow, emulating the same cheerful mood of one of Tom’s favorite songs, Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World.”<\/p>\n

Each Tom’s Drag item originates from a few quick sketches that the artist draws and quickly transforms into a detailed image. At this point a rough figure is hand-carved from wood with dimensions and proportions that mirror those that the final item will have. It is hand-painted by the artist and the prototype is born on which the rubber form will then be carved. This caoutchouc form is the key to all of Tom’s Drag’s works, as liquid marmorino, a mixture of ground marble and synthetic resin, will be poured into it and then solidified. The piece, at first an opaque white color, is then painted white and then polished. At this point, the edges of the color fields are drawn in pencil, which serve as a reference for the artist to paint the object.
