The story of Federico de Majo has its beginnings in the family business on the island of Murano (Venice). It was here,in the mid-1970s, that Federico de Majo began, and artistic glass generally. Thereafter, a feeling for the importance and enjoyment of good wine led him to set up a company dedicated to the design and production of tasting glasses.

“To talk about the conception and rafting of these glasses – Esperienze – gives me great pleasure. I looked for an idea that did not follow the behavior of being merely pleasant to the eye, which is the case with so many existing wine glasses. The idea came to me while I was sitting at the table in a charming room at Morgan’s, Madison Avenue. It was raining outside, a myriad of concentric rings vibrated in the mirrors created by the puddles; a concrete, immediate, fulfilled idea“

It is a unique set of experiences that the taster enjoys when drinking from these glasses, with their generous surface area and ripped bowl. The surface area in contact with wine is increased by the ripples, allowing the taster to swirl, oxigenate and develop the wine to best advantage once freed from the restrictions imposed by the bootle, bringing it to a condition ideal for drinking.
And these same ripples show up the hues and reflections in the liquid without having to tilt the glass. The “Esperienze” collection (patent pending) is designed by Federico de Majo and crafted in crystal glass and available in two version: mouth blow (Esperienze) and machine-made (Nuove Esperienze). “Esperienze” wine-tasting glasses are an appropriate tasting stemware appreciated by wine professionals and connoisseurs.
